Recent figures from FHI show that twice as many people who were infected with the Coronavirus at private events then at nightclubs in the first part of August.

The National Institute of Public Health assumes that 9 percent of those who were infected in Norway in weeks 31/32 and 32/33 were infected at a public place such as a restaurant, a bar or a nightclub, writes Dagbladet. In comparison, probably around 20 percent were infected at private events in weeks 31/32 and 32/33.

Department director Line Vold at FHI emphasizes that the information from the weekly reports is subject to some uncertainty.

– “It is what people state as a probable place of infection, which is entered in our statistics. It can probably vary a little how good an overview you have of it,” says Vold to Dagbladet.
