The government plans to enter step four in the reopening of Norwegian society when everyone over the age of 18 has been offered the first dose of the corona vaccine.

“But no matter what plans we have in place, the data controls the pace of the reopening – not the dates,” Minister of Health Bent Høie (H) said when he held a press conference on the corona situation on Friday.

The authorities plan to go to step four in the reopening plan when everyone over the age of 18 has been given the opportunity to protect themselves against serious illness, i.e., three weeks after they have been offered the first dose of vaccine.

“The government will soon make a decision on the further reopening based on advice from the National Institute of Public Health (FHI) and the Norwegian Directorate of Health,” Høie stated.
