Høie wants to take a closer look at the possibility of vaccine production in Norway
Minister of Health Bent Høie (H) and the government want to take a closer look at the possibilities of production or partial production of vaccines in Norway.
“The corona pandemic has shown us that global demand for vaccines exceeds production capacity. We are now looking at how we can be better equipped to face a similar situation in the future,” Høie said on Tuesday.
In order to do this, two studies are being conducted, among other efforts.
The studies will include market analysis and a review of government initiatives aimed at vaccine production in comparable EU and EEA countries.
The project is a collaboration between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
