Homeowner in Tromsø calls police to report ongoing burglary but ends up finding a moose at the front door
A homeowner at Kvaløysletta in Tromsø called the police to report an ongoing burglary on Saturday night. The burglar turned out to be a moose.
Just before 3:30 AM, the police received a call from a homeowner who heard noises at the front door.
“We got a phone call from a person who was scared that someone was entering his house.
“We encouraged him to take a closer look, and then it turned out that it was a moose banging on the door,” operations manager Eirik Kileng in the Troms Police District told NTB.
“We had enough to do with commotion in the center, so we did not go there to chase away the moose. Since we have not heard anything more, we hope that the homeowner has found peace at night,” Kileng said.
