Minister of Children and Equality Solveig Horne is launching a plan with 40 measures to ensure the rights and improve living conditions of sexual minorities.

The plan was presented during a reception at Akershus Fortress Tuesday on the occasion of the Pride festival.
The aim is to prevent discrimination and hate crimes against LGBT+ people and spread knowledge.

“I’m proud of it. With this action we want to facilitate more transparency and an inclusive society,” said Horne.
But both Ingvild Endestad from the Association for gender and sexuality diversity (FRI) and Susanne Demou from Queer World believes the plan is too vague and not concrete enough.
“I hope the plan is not finished and that we will be involved in developing it,” said Endestad.
