In the last 24 hours, Stavanger registered more new corona cases than Oslo

Fifteen new corona infection cases have been registered in Stavanger in the last 24 hours. That is two more than in Oslo.

Stavanger, with almost 145,000 inhabitants, now has more registered infected people in the last 24 hours than Oslo. In the capital, where more than 697,000 people live, 13 new infection cases were registered. 

According to MSIS, 76 people were diagnosed with coronavirus in Norway in the last 24 hours.

Of Stavanger’s 15 new cases, ten are defined as close contacts, while four have an unknown route of transmission, according to Stavanger Municipality. 

A total of 560 people tested themselves in Stavanger on Sunday.

For the municipalities in Nord-Jæren as a whole, 19 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours. In addition to Stavanger, two cases have been reported in both Sandnes and Sola municipalities, newspaper Stavanger Aftenblad writes. In Randaberg Municipality, there were no new cases in the last 24 hours.
