Since Wednesday, 22 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus in Trondheim. At least eight were diagnosed with the infection in the last 24 hours.

Out of the 22 new cases of infection, three have an unknown route of infection, while four have been infected abroad, Trondheim Municipality stated in a press release on Monday.

Among the newly infected, eleven are women and ten men.

Furthermore, 17 of the infected are in the age group 0–29 years, which indicates that the infection is greatest among the younger population. According to NTB, this is connected to the fact that the older age groups are fully vaccinated to a greater extent.

According to the Municipality, 90% of Trondheim’s residents over the age of 45 have received at least one vaccine dose.
