Infection rates in Bergen continue to rise: 47 new corona cases reported in the last 24 hours

Bergen Municipality has registered 47 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Out of the total, 30 are between 20 and 39 years old, the Municipality wrote on its website.

Furthermore, 17 of those infected are close contacts, and one is a case of imported infection. Another 17 have an unknown route of infection, and 12 have not been mapped yet.

“High infection rates continue. Today, it is worrying that we are seeing an increase in infection among teenagers, in addition to the fact that the high level of infection among young adults continues,” acting chief infection control officer Kjell Haug stated in an update.

A total of 2,097 people tested themselves for corona in Bergen on Tuesday.
