A total of 96 people in Drammen have been diagnosed with coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The route of transmission is currently unknown for twelve people.
This is the first time that 96 new cases of infection have been registered in Drammen Municipality in the course of one day.
Furthermore, 70 cases can be traced to a known transmission route domestically, while the route of transmission is currently unknown for twelve people, the Municipality stated on its website.
Three people have been diagnosed with coronavirus after traveling abroad, while the infection tracking is still underway for eleven people.
“There is no doubt that it is a lot. But we announced in yesterday’s infection status that samples taken this weekend were not analyzed. Therefore, we had to be prepared to get high infection rates in the next few days… We cannot rule out that there will be a high number tomorrow,” infection control chief Einar Sagberg in Drammen Municipality noted.
