Infection record in Finland: 720 corona cases registered in one day

In Finland, 720 new coronavirus cases were registered on Friday, according to the Finnish Institute of Public Health THL.

That is the highest number of cases registered in one day, infectious disease specialist Saara Jamanca told the Finnish news agency STT.

Thus, a total of 56,407 Finns have been diagnosed with coronavirus infection. Furthermore, 742 corona-related deaths have been registered since the pandemic began.

At the same time, almost 350,000 people have been vaccinated against the virus.

The new virus mutations are a source of concern. More than 1,200 cases of the mutated variations have been registered in Finland.
