On Monday, a record number of corona cases were registered in Asker and Bærum. A total of 1,577 new cases was registered in the last 24 hours.
In Bærum, a record number of 994 new cases of infection have been registered in the last 24 hours – almost 200 more than the day before.
In the neighboring municipality of Asker, a record number of new corona cases has also been registered, with 583 cases in the last 24 hours.
At Bærum Hospital, seven patients were admitted with COVID-19 on Monday, which is two fewer than the day before. According to the newspaper Budstikka, the number of hospitalized COVID patients has been at a stable low level throughout January, despite high infection rates.
