On 16 March, Norway introduced internal border controls as a measure to limit the spread of the Coronavirus. This is now being extended for two more months.

This is stated by the Ministry of Justice and Emergency Preparedness in a press release on Wednesday afternoon.

The border control is continued for 60 more days from 14 August, and an assessment will be made at least every 30 days of whether the infection situation indicates the abolition of the temporary personal control at the internal border.

The regulations on who is allowed to enter Norway are assessed continuously, and can be changed regardless of the fact that border control at the internal border has now been extended by 60 days, the ministry writes.
