Compared with the same month last year, international passenger traffic at Norwegian airports increased in November of 2021.
“We have seen a sharp increase when it comes to travel abroad, which is clearly related to the fact that the global travel advice was abolished on October 1, and that Norwegians again dare to travel abroad,” Gaute Skallerud Riise, director of traffic development in Avinor, stated.
Just over 3.1 million passengers traveled to or from Avinor’s airports in November. That is three times as many as in November 2020, but a decrease of 25% from the same month in 2019.
The growth in domestic traffic in November was 173% from the same month last year.
