Murder investigation started after dead woman found
The police have opened a murder investigation after a woman was found dead in a stairwell at Tøyen in Oslo. Two men have been arrested case.
Because of the circumstances surrounding this incident, we have opened a murder investigation, but currently we can not say much about what we believe may have happened, “ Grete LienMetlid, leader of the violence–and sexual section in the Oslo Police District told the news agency NTB.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the case, but Metlid will not yet comment on their status or what they are to be charged with.
– Currently, we can not say who the woman is and we have not notified any relatives. The investigation is in a preliminary stage and we have to come back with more information, says Metlid.
The woman was found in a stairwell of an apartment building in Oslo of. Traces of blood were reportedly found on site and the area around the discovery site has been cordoned off.
