Head of NATO and former Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg is working on his own biography, which might be published this autumn.
– I’m writing both about the things that went well and the things that went bad. But it’s a bit too early to talk about the content because I haven’t completed it yet. I will be working on it in the summer, so maybe it will be finished in the autumn, Stoltenberg told newspaper Dagbladet.
He is writing the biography with the assistance of a strategy consultant at party headquarters, Snorre Wikstrøm, who has worked with Stoltenberg for many years.
Stoltenberg said he started work on the biography after he resigned as prime minister in autumn 2013, but before he took over as secretary general of NATO a year later.
The emphasis of the book is on Stoltenberg’s time as prime minister – his debut in 2000 as Norway’s youngest prime minister of all time, the defeat in the elections in 2001 and his two periods as a prime minister from 2005 to 2013.
