Jonas Gahr Støre: The Labor Party and the Center Party reached an agreement – we can form a government

The Labor Party (AP) and the Center Party (SP) have agreed to form a government, AP leader Jonas Gahr Støre said on Friday.

Støre added that the two parties would form a government on Thursday, October 14, and present their policies the day before.

The state budget will be presented on Tuesday, and it is expected that Prime Minister Erna Solberg will announce the government’s resignation shortly after that.

“On Tuesday, Erna Solberg will present the state budget. We respect that. If we have a goal of taking over on Thursday, we can present our policy on Wednesday,” Støre noted.

“We plan to present our policy in its entirety on Wednesday,” SP leader Trygve Slagsvold Vedum confirmed.

Details still remain to be finalized when it comes to the government platform.
