King Harald is back to good health and will chair the Cabinet on Friday. This is stated in the King’s program at kongehuset.no.

The King was admitted to the Rikshospitalet on Wednesday, January 8th after experiencing dizziness. No serious illness was found, but he was granted sick leave for two weeks.

Earlier this month, the 82-year-old should have attended the opening of the Johan Sverdrup field, but had to cancel.

King Harald was also sick for a few days just before Christmas due to a viral infection. The previous period of sick leave for the regent was two years ago.

Crown Prince Haakon served as regent and interim head of state during the period the King was on sick leave.
