King Harald is still admitted to Rikshospitalet, and the Royal House has nothing new to report on his health.
Communication Manager Guri Varpe at the Palace informed NTB on Sunday that nothing new has happened since Friday. Then the message was that the King was on the road to recovery and that he was expected to be discharged “next week.”
“We will send a press release when he is discharged,” Varpe writes in a text message.
The King was hospitalized Wednesday after experiencing dizziness. No serious illness has been found, but he is on sick leave for two weeks.
In the meantime, Crown Prince Haakon is regent and thus temporarily Norway’s head of state.
On Tuesday, King Harald should have attended the opening of the Johan Sverdrup field, but had to cancel. He was also sick before Christmas with a viral infection.
