Norway’s Royal House revealed that King Harald was still under medical examination in a Sunday press release.

His sick leave will be extended, and that the Crown Prince Regent Haakon will step in for the king on Monday.

The king was admitted to a hospital in Oslo on Friday last week due to heavy breathing.

He was supposed to be on sick leave until Sunday, but the sick leave is extended.

Norway’s Royal House told news bureau NTB that they have no information about how long the sick leave is extended by nor whether the king’s health situation has deteriorated.

The king was discharged from Rikshospitalet on Monday.

In his absence, Crown Prince Haakon held the parliamentary opening speech on Friday.
