A man and a woman from the village of Orre on Jæren were sent to hospital with severe burns. The man has been charged with the incident.

The Southwestern Police District was notified of the case just after 2 o’clock on Wednesday night. The woman in question reported the case to the police.

The woman and a man in his 30s were found with severe burns in a house at Orre in Klepp Municipality. The man has been charged with inflicting bodily harm.

“This is based on information the man provided at the scene after the incident,” Per Terje Brundtland noted in a press release.

There has been no fire in the home, and it is, therefore, unclear how the two received the burn injuries. Both were taken to Stavanger University Hospital, and their condition is described as serious. The man was later sent on to Haukeland University Hospital for treatment.

The home has been cordoned off with guards, and forensic technicians will conduct crime scene investigations on Wednesday.
