Mullah Krekar’s lawyer has demanded that the issue of his client’s extradition to Italy must first be decided, now that the Frp or Progress Party is out of the government.

According to NRK, there is a theoretical possibility that the decision on extradition may come before a new Minister of Justice is in place, even though Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) has set the goal of having a government without Frp by the end of January.

Krekar’s defence attorney, Brynjar Meling, has been working on a complaint regarding the integrity of Justice Minister Jøran Kallmyr (Frp). The lawyer thinks that Frp’s ministers are incompetent in the case as the Party has a political ambition to send Krekar out of the country.
