Kristiansand has registered 19 new corona cases in the last 24 hours. That is the highest number of infection cases in the Municipality since June 2.

Three infected people have an unknown route of infection, and 32 people have been quarantined, the newspaper Fædrelandsvennen writes.

“I’m a little worried about this increase. I would guess that it is connected with the fact that there is great mobility in the population, and there have been a lot of people in the city this summer,” Mayor Jan Oddvar Skisland (AP) noted.

On the other hand, the mayor does not believe this is the time to implement stricter measures in the Municipality.

“There would have to be quite dramatic infection rates (for us to introduce stricter measures),” he said.

A total of 20 cases were registered on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
