Over a hundred customers have been without electricity in Tromsø municipality since Saturday night when a landslide hit the power line.

Nordlys reports that the power outage began on the stretch from Snarbydalen to Oldervik half an hour before midnight. It is now clear that a landslide hit the power line. On its website, the network company Arva writes that it is currently unable to enter the area.

It expects that customers will have the power back by noon on Saturday.

A larger area in Kroken and in Grøtfjord and Tromvik has also been affected by the power outage.

At most, 750 electricity customers were affected, but the other areas in Tromsø that were without electricity for part of the night received electricity again on Saturday morning. At 3:30 AM, Arva announced that 107 customers in Oldervik were still without electricity.

At the same time, at 3:26 AM, problems have been reported in Målselv, where 309 customers were without electricity on Saturday morning.
