Large differences in the number of corona-related deaths in Oslo’s districts

The Nordstrand district has had by far the most deaths per corona-infected person in Oslo. St. Hanshaugen registered the fewest.

In the Nordstrand district, 26 people have been registered who have died within one month of being infected with the corona. Nordstrand is followed by Frogner and Stovner, who each registered 20 deaths.

In the district of St. Hanshaugen, only three corona-related deaths have been registered, newspaper Nordre Aker Budstikke writes.

While Nordstrand had one death per 59 people who have been diagnosed with the infection, the corresponding figure for Vestre Aker is one per 108, for Østensjø one per 114, and for Frogner one per 116.

On the other hand, St. Hanshaugen registered one death per 510 people who have been diagnosed with corona infection, while in Sagene, one death per 436 infected was registered.

When it comes to the number of deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, Stovner is in first place with 60 deaths. Nordstrand registered 49, and Søndre Nordstrand 38. St. Hanshaugen and Sagene registered eight and nine deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively.

A total of 188 corona-related deaths were registered in Oslo between March last year and April 27 this year. The residential address was unknown for three of the deaths.
