After a month and a half, the Infection Stop app is still being tested in three cities, and fewer than ten people have received an SMS stating that they have been near an infected person.

This advices Acting Assistant Director Gun Peggy Knudsen of the Public Health Institute to Bergens Tidende. She will not tell the newspaper exactly how many people have received SMS messages, because the testing phase of the app is not over yet.

– The real number of close contacts is higher. The reason why not everyone has received SMS is multiple. An example might be that it has not been necessary to notify with a message because the contact has already been notified, says Knudsen.

In total, a total of 28 users of the app in the test cities of Drammen, Trondheim and Tromsø have been found infected.
