The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has issued a lightning danger warning for Finnmark as of Wednesday afternoon.
The danger of lightning and thunder will decrease throughout the evening, the institute stated in the warning.
There will be large local differences in the intensity of the lightning, and some places will not experience thunderstorms at all.
The Norwegian Meteorological Institute recommends disconnecting electrical appliances and adapting the speed to the driving conditions if you are out on the road.
The meteorologists advise against swimming and ask people to avoid open plains and large trees.
