Lillestrøm Municipality has decided to ease the corona measures. Alcohol serving will be allowed, and malls can reopen from Thursday.

The new regulations come into force on Thursday night and apply until further notice, newspaper Romerikes Blad writes.

Alcohol serving will be allowed until midnight, but only for places that serve food, and it is not allowed to let guests in after 10:00 PM.

“It’s good to lighten up (the measures) a bit. Nevertheless, the infection situation in the Municipality is still serious, and we have higher infection rates than Oslo.

“We must still follow the basic infection control rules in order to continue to stay open and open up even more,” Mayor Jørgen Vik (AP) said, according to the newspaper.

On Tuesday, the government decided to repeal the “ring” corona measures in Eastern Norway. Thus, only local and national measures apply to the municipalities.
