Listhaug: Frp will now conduct its own policy

In the future, it will be up to the Government to pursue a policy that the Progress Party can support, says Deputy Speaker Sylvi Listhaug.

Listhaug emphasises to NTB that Frp will now follow its own party program. At the same time, the party will act in a transparent manner with the Government, says Listhaug, who adds that the party has many important issues on the agenda.

– Wind power, putting local veto powers in place so that it is not overridden by state authorities, and ensuring that no more power cables are being developed for export that will give Norwegian households higher electricity prices; these will be important issues going forward, says Listhaug – who thus marks their support for an issue that is also important for the Center Party.

– Our starting point is not to appoint Jonas Gahr Støre as Prime Minister, it never has been. But it is up to the Government to pursue a policy that the Progress Party can support, says the probably shortest-lived Minister of Oil in Norwegian history .

Listhaug was appointed as Minister for Oil and Energy on December 18 last year, but will probably already this week have to hand over the keys for the office to her successor. It is currently unclear who this will be.
