Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) asks people to follow the infection control advice and says that the outbreaks that occur, mainly happen when the advice is not followed.

“What the health authorities have seen so far is that the outbreaks mainly occur when the infection prevention advice is broken. If each of us follows the infection advice, we will maintain a controlled infection situation”, Solberg said at Thursday’s press conference.

On Thursday, it was clear that the first major survey of how the infection control advices are followed, shows that six out of ten have broken the quarantine rules.

“I think that people must remember that the quarantine rules exist to protect others than yourself. It is your solidarity contribution when you have potentially been exposed to infection from others. It is time to find the inner self-discipline. It’s not important that you feel the situation is not serious. It can be very dangerous for those you meet who might be more vulnerable than you”, says Solberg.
