An outdoor party with an estimated over 100 participants kept permanent residents of Henningsvær in Lofoten awake on Thursday night. The police had to call in reinforcements to get the partygoers under control.

The Nordland Police District reported the case at 4 o’clock. At first, the police estimated that there were over 50 people present, and one patrol was sent to the scene.

The patrol was eventually able to estimate that there were over 100 people present, so another patrol was sent to the site.

“They are getting nowhere with their attempt to get the party under control. We are sending a police patrol from Leknes to assist. Due to the party, several permanent residents have no opportunity to sleep,” the operations center stated.

At 6 o’clock, the police were able to report that the party was ended.
