Following a delivery of suspicious objects, the main entrance to the police station in Stavanger has been blocked off.

Just before 9 o’clock on Monday morning, suspicious objects were delivered to the police station in Stavanger.

In a press release, the police write that they have no reason to believe that the objects may be explosive but that the main entrance and the footpath outside have been blocked off as an extra security measure.

The objects are now outside of the building.

“We have a dialogue with the Armed Forces, which is on its way to make an assessment of the objects and to decide how they will be handled further. The police station has not been evacuated,” operations manager Jøran Solheim said.
