A 32 years old man from Chechen was acquitted of attempted murder against police officers on Roa in Hadeland happened in 2015.

Eidsivating Court finds man instead guilty of having tried to prevent a service action using threats, according to Police Forum. The penalty for this is up to six years in prison.

When the case against 32 years old was treated by Gjøvik District Court earlier this year, the man was sentenced to seven years in prison. This judgment was appealed.

He has admitted that he shot at police, but argues that the aim was to scare them, not to kill. This has been decided by jury in the Court of Appeal.

The shooting happened during the arrest at night of June 26th, 2015, after a car chase shot 32 years old against the police at a gas station at Roa. The police shot back and hit the man.

The verdict against the man is expected in a few days.
