Man arrested after making threats with firearm in Moss
A man in his 30s was arrested on Saturday night, under suspicion of threatening a person with a firearm at Melløs in Moss.
The man was arrested close to the address where he threatened a person with a firearm. The people at the address contacted the police at 2:40 AM.
“They did not know the man who made the threats. We sent several patrols to the place. They encountered him walking along the road. He was arrested a few minutes after the police were contacted,” operations manager Karianne Knutsen in the Eastern Police District told news bureau NTB.
The firearm he allegedly used was found in a car parked nearby. The man was quite drunk and is also suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol.
The background for the incident is completely unknown to the police.
