A man in his late teens has been arrested after he threatened a person with an automatic weapon in Vatne outside Ålesund at 2 AM on Saturday, the police announced.

The police moved out just before 2 o’clock and acted as if it were a situation of ongoing life-threatening violence.

Barely an hour and a half later, the Møre og Romsdal Police District announced on Twitter that they had control of the person and the automatic weapon. They added that the arrest took place without incidents in Vatne center, a couple of miles outside Ålesund.
