Man arrested after violent incident in Oslo – one person seriously injured

One person has been taken to the hospital with head injuries after being knocked down in Trondheimsvegen in Oslo on Tuesday evening. A man has been arrested.

The ambulance service notified the police at 7:10 PM after a person was found in Trondheimsvegen with head injuries. At 9:00 PM, the police confirmed that a man had been arrested.

“We have control over the person we have been looking for, who has now been arrested,” operations manager Rune Hekkelstrand of the Oslo police told NTB.

Task leader Thomas Broberg said that the injured person was hit in the head with an object.

“The person has been transported to the hospital with what are currently characterized as serious injuries,” Broberg added.

The police are working to find out what happened, and they have collected witness information from the site of the incident.
