Armed police arrested a man in his 40s on a Saturday in a house in Årnes, Akershus after being told that there were more weapons there.
“We were told that there were a lot of weapons in a home that belong to him. He was arrested and will be questioned about this since there are no weapons registered,” says operations manager Tom Sandberg in the Eastern Police District of NTB.
The police know who the man is, but beyond that he has no previous police records.
“It was natural to arrive armed after the information we received. The arrest was calm and without incident. He is sitting in Lillestrøm jail and will be questioned Sunday or Monday. The weapons have been confiscated and will be reviewed,” says Sandberg.
