On Sunday night, the police were notified that a man was carrying a machete on board a bus at Lambertseter in Oslo. No one has been threatened, but the police intervened.
At 4:45 AM, the police stated that they had control of the man.
“Other passengers saw the weapon and alerted the police. We have no information that there have been any threats on the bus,” the operations center reported.
The purchase of machetes was banned from June 1 this year, while the ban on having this type of weapon will take effect on June 1 next year.
