A man in his 30s has been charged with raping a four year old boy in a kindergarten in Bergen. On Monday he was remanded in custody for four weeks.
The man was arrested before the weekend, after the rape allegedly took place last Wednesday, the newspaper BergensAvisen writes.
He is also accused of downloading indecent images of children from the internet for years, after police confiscated his computer after his arrest.
It is not yet known how the man will plead to the indictment. He was not present during the remand hearing in Bergen District Court Monday.
The man’s lawyer, Beate Hamre, informs the news agency NTB that the case is subject to complete confidentiality.
– I am therefore not at liberty to make any further comments on the case, Hamre writes in an SMS.
Hamre says to BergensAvisen that her client accepted the remand for custody.
