A man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after another man was slightly injured in a stabbing incident in Stavanger on Tuesday night.
The incident was reported to the police at 2:10 AM. Police and an ambulance were quickly on the scene of the crime, and the injured person was transported to Stavanger University Hospital with light injuries.
“The perpetrator was arrested after a short time at the same place. Both of those involved are in their 40s and live at their respective addresses in a multi-family home. They know each other, but the police can not yet say anything more about the relationship,” police attorney Cathrine Monsen said.
The perpetrator is charged with attempted murder. He will be produced for custody. The man has admitted to the facts of the case but denies criminal guilt.
