One man was charged with attempted murder after a serious incident of violence in Sandnes last night. One woman is seriously injured.
The police received a report of an injured woman at an address in Sandnes at 3:30 on Saturday. Emergency services rushed to the scene and found a seriously injured woman. She was sent to Stavanger University Hospital.
A man was arrested shortly afterward in Sandnes, and he is charged with attempted murder, the police say.
“The man has a close relationship with the injured woman,” the Southwestern Police District wrote in the press release.
The police are investigating the scene of the crime.
“Several interrogations of witnesses have been carried out, and this work will continue. The interrogation of the accused is planned during the day,” the police added.
