A man has died after an explosion in the Swedish city of Värnamo on Thursday.

Many callers reported a loud bang at 3 o’clock on Thursday. A man with serious injuries was found outside the garage of a house.

The man was transported to the hospital, but at 7:30 AM, the police stated that the man died from the injuries.

When the man arrived at the hospital, there was a fear that an object he had in his clothes could be a bomb. The object was secured and investigated by police bomb experts, and at 7 o’clock in the morning, it was determined that the object was harmless.

The bomb experts then turned their attention to the house where the explosion took place. Several houses in the neighborhood have been evacuated for fear of other explosions, and a large area has been cordoned off.
