A man in his 40s was trapped in his vehicle after driving off the road in Kongsberg on Saturday. The man told police he had been drinking alcohol.
The police were notified of the accident at 8:40 PM, and at 10:00 PM, the police wrote on Twitter that the man had been successfully extracted from the vehicle. The man was transported to Drammen hospital.
Operation leader Marius Knudsen in the Southeastern Police District told news bureau NTB that the man told the police on the spot that he drank alcohol. The extent of the man’s injuries is currently not known.
The car drove off on county road 40 and ended up on the roof, but the police did not yet officially confirm the cause of the accident.
