A man with stab wounds was found lying in the street in Storhaug in Stavanger on Monday night. One man has been arrested in the case.
The police were notified of the incident just before 2 AM on Monday. About half an hour later, a man was arrested and charged.
“The police have arrested and charged a man in his 20s. The victim is also in his 20s, and both are known to the police from before,” Cathrine Stensby-Johannessen in Southwestern Police District stated in a press release.
She says the police plan to interrogate the accused man on Monday.
“It is too early to go into details about the course of events,” Stensby-Johannessen added.
The injured man was transported to Stavanger University Hospital, where he was treated. The extent of his injuries is not known.
