Man hit by landslide in Fauske dies from injuries
A 38-year-old man who was hit by a landslide on Kistrand in Fauske in February died from the injuries he received.
The man in question was Tom-Gøran Mathisen Moretti from Fauske, the Nordland Police District confirmed on Friday. The 38-year-old died on Thursday.
The relatives have been notified.
The 38-year-old was sent to the hospital in Bodø with serious injuries after his car was hit by a landslide over national road 80 at Kistrand in Fauske Municipality on February 25.
The man was employed by a contractor, and he out to check the risk of landslides in the area when the accident occurred, according to Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK).
