Jessheim Storsenter was evacuated on Monday morning after a bomb threat to a store. A man in his 20s from Eastern Europe is charged.

We are in control of a sack and a bag the accused brought with them to the centre. This is handled by the bomb group, Eastern Police District writes on Twitter.

The man’s motive for the bomb threat is unknown. Police say they are in the process of questioning both the accused and the witnesses.

Operations manager Ronny Åstein tells NTB that the man posed the threat to a specific store.

The man was inside the store and delivered a note demanding a cash sum to the store assistant. He threatened that he had a bomb in his bag if he was not given the amount, says Åstein.
