A man is charged with rape at Tøyen Torg in Oslo. The arrest took place after tips that came in after surveillance images were shown in the program Åsted Norge.

According to the newspaper Avisa Oslo, the man in his 20s was arrested on Tuesday this week.

The man does not admit criminal guilt. He has been remanded in custody for four weeks.

“The reason why we have arrested and charged a person is that we obtained video surveillance from the site. The video surveillance was shown at Åsted Norway, and we received a tip from the audience on the person in the video,” police attorney Henrik Rådal in the Oslo Police District noted.

The sexual abuse is said to have taken place on the night of February 21 this year, and TV 2’s Åsted Norway took up the case on April 19.
