A woman was sent to the hospital on Sunday with serious injuries after an incident of violence in Lillehammer. A man in his 30s has been charged with attempted murder.
The police received a report of the violent incident, which allegedly took place in a home in Lillehammer, at 3:30 AM on Sunday. The violence is said to have been carried out with an object, the Innlandet Police District wrote in a press release.
The woman was transported to the hospital, but the injuries are not life-threatening, the police say.
“The police can confirm that there is a relationship between the victim and the accused,” it is further stated.
Several objects have been seized. The investigation will take place over the weekend, and an interrogation of witnesses will be carried out. Relatives have been notified, the police say.
