A man in his 40s has been charged with abusing girls for many years, both physically and via social media. There are 43 victims in the case.

The assaults took place between 2016 and 2020, according to the indictment.

Most of the assaults for which the man is accused are said to have taken place when he got the girls to send him sexualized videos and pictures of themselves via Snapchat. According to the indictment, in some cases, the man also paid them.

There are a total of 43 victims in the case, and several of them were 12 years old when the abuse allegedly took place. All live in Oslo or elsewhere in Eastern Norway. The man is also accused of having physically abused several of the girls.

At the man’s home, police found over 40,000 assault videos and photos on his computer, including hundreds of videos and photos of the man’s own cyberattacks.

The case will be processed in Oslo District Court on Wednesday next week, and 26 days have been set aside for the processing of the case.
