Man threatens students with a carpet cutter in Kongsberg, gets arrested

Police have arrested a man in Kongsberg after he threatened residents of a student dormitory with a carpet cutter.

“He behaved threateningly with a carpet cutter. The situation was over before we arrived, and no one was physically injured,” operations manager Trond Egil Groth in the Southeastern Police District told NTB.

He added that the man was arrested. The reason for the incident is unknown.

The man, who is in his late teens, has been taken into custody in Drammen, and he will be questioned during the night.
