Man transported to the hospital after drowning accident just south of Oslo

A man in his 50s has been transported to the hospital by air ambulance after being taken out of the water at Sætre on Hurumlandet in Asker Municipality on Saturday afternoon.

The report of the drowning accident at Sætre, which is a town on the west side of the Inner Oslo Fjord south of Oslo, came at 3:20 PM on Saturday.

Ambulance personnel carried out life-saving first aid on the spot, and at 3:54 PM, the police announced that the man had been transported to the hospital.

“The man has a pulse,” operations manager Vidar Pedersen in the Oslo Police District told newspaper VG.
